Design of Buildings to House Offices and Equipment for a Waste Water Treatment Plant

Features:
A new facility was planned and designed to replace existing package plant serving the Kona International Airport. Project provides 130,000 gallon per day (GPD), R-1 wastewater reclamation facility to server and allow for the expansion of the airport. Due to the scarcity of water in the region, the plant also provides proper treatment to enable reclamation for irrigation. Archictects Pacific, Inc. provided design for construction the control, generator, and blower buildings. The plant facility manager as well as other operators were pleasantly suprised that this facility doesn't look like a "typical" waste water treatment plant. The remainder of the utility structures were also designed and given architectural characteristic similar to the buildings in the plant.
